The response of the Jewish community of La Fayette, Indiana, to the United Jewish Appeal for the relief and reconstruction of Jews in Germany and the settlement of Jews in Palestine has called forth an expression of gratification from officers of the campaign, said a statement released here yesterday.
Under the leadership of Rabbi Joshua Liebman, Louis Pearlman and Jacob Singer, the La Fayette community has already raised $1,100 for the fund.
