The “road map” may be the last chance at Israeli-Palestinian peace for a long time, the U.N. envoy for the Middle East said. Speaking Monday to the U.N. Security Council, Terje Roed-Larsen also criticized both sides in the conflict. Palestinian suicide bombings are “senseless acts that are unjustified on any moral or political grounds. Israeli roadblocks and checkpoints are the “single largest impediment to the Palestinian economy,” he said.
