The Russian Jewish Congress is launching a campaign to obtain Jewish communal property confiscated during the Soviet era, according to the umbrella group’s executive vice president, Alexander Osovtsov. The confiscated property includes hundreds of synagogues, theaters and school buildings across Russia.
