The Schuschnigg government is beginning to show its true colors with regard to anti-Semitism. Notwithstanding its assurances that it will treat ### loyal citizens without discrimination, regardless of their race or creed, the authorities have commenced an anti-Jewish drive, by removing Jews from office. Eighty Jewish officials in Austrian banking institutions have been dismissed. About forty of those removed from office are veterans of the World War. Last month, during the end of the Dollfuss regime, fifty Jewish physicians were discharged from municipal hospitals in Vienna.
Austria is outwardly combatting the domination of Hitler Nazism, but Austria is continuing to ruin herself by indulging in her own brand of Nazism, which is almost as bad as that of Hitler. It seems that Judo-phobia is the last resort of decaying and tottering governments.
