The second annual goodwill meeting of Catholics, Jews and Protestants, which was instituted last year in Montreal by Rabbi Harry J. Stern of the Temple Emanu-El, was held recently in the Temple Hall.
The three principal speakers of the evening, Major George Washington Stephens, John Callaghan, K. C., and Nathan Gordon, K. C., stressed the need of international justice and tolerance and a proper understanding between Jews and Christians. Others who spoke were Rabbi Julius Berger, of the Shaare Zion Synagogue, Rev. Dr. Smyth, president of the Protestant Board of School Commissioners, Rev. T. W. Jones, rector of the United Calvary Church, J. Saxe and Harry Davis.
