The Senate today-reversed its Appropriations Committee by a voice vote and without dissent approved an amendment by Sen. Edmund S. Muskie (D. Me.) to provide $36.5 million to help settle Soviet Jewish immigrants in Israel. The committee had earlier voted down the assistance measure on the basis that the Administration did not want to appropriate the funds. The Senate is due to vote on the entire bill late today which includes $300 million for military sales credit and a credit grant of $50 million in economic supply assistance to Israel.
