The Simon Wiesenthal Center is welcoming findings by an Estonian commission that the deputy chief of the Estonian political police was involved in murdering Jews during World War II. “The shadow of doubt regarding the wartime crimes of Evald Mikson has finally dissipated,” the director of the center’s Israel office, Efraim Zuroff, said in a statement.
