The Simon Wiesenthal Center petitioned Israel’s Supreme Court to block Israeli officials from providing any financial support for a planned July concert that will include works by German composer Richard Wagner. The performance of works by the “arch anti-Semite” will be “an affront to the victims of the Holocaust,” the center said in a statement.
