The Simon Wiesenthal Center submitted testimony against a suspected war criminal to the Office of the General Prosecutor in Riga. In an Op-Ed published Tuesday in the Latvian daily Diena, Efraim Zuroff described the testimony of nine Holocaust survivors that implicate Herbert Cukurs, deputy commandant of the Latvian Arajs Kommando police unit, in various atrocities.
