The Simon Wiesenthal Center urged organizers of the Frankfurt Book Fair to reject a sponsorship offer from the Arab League. Writing to the president of the prestigious annual fair, the center’s director for international liaison, Shimon Samuels, said organizers of the October event should reject a contribution of more than $3 million from Saudi Arabia unless the Arab League “announces concrete measures to condemn and contain anti-Semitic literature in its region.”
