The son of Hitler’s half-brother served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, according to The New Yorker magazine. After the war, William Patrick Hitler, who had promoted himself in the 1930s as Hitler’s nephew, changed his name and dropped out of the spotlight. Three of his sons now live on Long Island.
