The son of Israel’s chief Sephardi rabbi pleaded guilty to beating his sister’s friend. The prosecution recommended that Meir Amar, son of Shlomo Amar, receive a three-year jail sentence after he pled guilty Wednesday. Meir Amar’s mother was reported to be negligent in not reporting the incident to the police, but was found not guilty.
