The spiritual leader of Hamas called on Pope John Paul II to condemn Israel’s hold over eastern Jerusalem during his pilgrimage to the Holy Land next week. Sheik Ahmed Yassin also said the Arab-Christian relationship “has always been good and Allah told us to be nice to them.”
