The quarter-final round of the National A. A. U. one-wall handball championships, both singles and doubles, will get under way at the Garden tonight.
Eight matches in the quarter final round are scheduled for tonight. The remaining games in this division will be played along with the first semi-finals tomorrow evening, and the finals in both singles and doubles for the championship of the United States will be run off at the Garden Saturday evening.
Among the outstanding men entered in these games are Jack Wildman, George Baskin and Cy Alexander, former national champ in both singles and doubles.
Two regulation courts have been specially constructed on the spacious Garden floor for this three night tourney, the first of its kind ever held in the huge sports arena.
BROADWAY ARENA
Launching a campaign which he expects will gain him a crack at the big money, Danny Levine, East Side welterweight, will meet Spagett De Caro of Yorkville in the final of a double windup at the Broadway Arena tomorrow night. Levine in his last start fought a torrid bout with Jack Lowery at Coney Island.
An excellent card fills up the bill.
