The State Department has redesignated several Palestinian groups as foreign terrorist organizations. In a memo released Thursday, the State Department announced the redesignation of 25 groups as terrorist entities whose designation was to expire Friday. The groups include Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
