The State Department today announced acceptances by Colombia, Nicaragua and Sweden of Secretary Cordell Hull’s plan to form an international committee to facilitate emigration of political refugees. Acceptances now total 12 nations of the 28 invited by the United States to cooperate.
The first meeting of the committee may be held in a Swiss city, it was disclosed yesterday when the French Government, in accepting the invitation, expressed satisfaction with the initial meeting place proposed in the Hull note.
