The sum of $17,000 was subscribed at the opening banquet of the combined drive for the United Palestine Appeal and the United Jewish Campaign in Bethlehem last night at the Jewish Community Center. The quota is $20,000.
Judge William M. Lewis, National Chairman of the United Palestine Appeal, Congressman Benjamin L. Golder of Philadelphia, and Albert H. Lieberman, Chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee for Pennsylvania, spoke. Aaron Potruch is Chairman of the drive.
