The Supreme Court rejected an appeal by the Government in the case of Rabbi Jacob S. Duner, whose family the immigration authorities had sought unsuccessfully to exclude from the country. Duner came from Poland prior to the passage of the quota law of 1924. His wife and children arrived after its passage. The authorities attempted to exclude them, but the Federal courts at New York city refused to sustain the Government’s contention.
