The transfer of the Palestine Archaeological Museum to its handsome and spacious new building, built entirely of white stone, at the northeast corner of the walled Old City, is now under way. All antiquities found in Palestine which have been retained here will be housed in the building, which will also serve as the headquarters of the Palestine Department of Antiquities.
The building was erected at a cost of two million dollars, which was donated by John D. Rockefeller Jr.
