The trial against Soviet Jewish activist Pavel Abramovich has been postponed until April 29, according to information received by the National Conference on Soviet Jewry. Charged by Soviet authorities with “parasitism,” the Moscow activist was fired from his job as an engineer when he applied to emigrate to Israel in 1971. For the last six years he has attempted to register with Soviet authorities as a Hebrew teacher.
