The U.N. General Assembly passed a resolution calling for international monitors to oversee Israeli treatment of the Palestinians. The non-binding resolution, similar to one vetoed by the United States in the Security Council last week, passed Dec. 20 by a vote of 124-6, with 25 abstentions.
