The U.S. government’s case against John Demjanjuk, accused of working as a guard at Nazi death camps, is based partly on new documents that became available after the fall of the Soviet Union. During the trial, prosecutors plan to present an identification card, work rosters and other documents to prove Demjanjuk lied about his past to get into the United States after World War II.
