The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Committee on Conscience issued a genocide warning for Sudan, and it opened a special display in the museum about ongoing ethnic violence in the African country. “Remembrance of the Holocaust has instilled in us a profound appreciation for the cost of silence,” said Rabbi Irving Greenberg, chairman of the museum’s Memorial Council.
