The U.S. House of Representatives approved Tuesday by a vote of 415-5 a non- binding resolution that asks the State Department to raise the fate of Israeli soldiers missing in action with Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian officials. The measure is named after Zachary Baumel, a citizen of both Israel and the United States who was captured by forces affiliated with the Palestine Liberation Organization in 1982 while serving with the Israeli army in Lebanon.
