The U.S. State Department called on U.S. citizens to leave the Gaza Strip because of Sunday’s Palestinian presidential elections. The advisory also called on Americans to defer travel to Israel and the West Bank because of possible terrorist acts over the weekend as Palestinians head to the polls.
