The U.S. State Department criticized Israel for demolishing homes in the West Bank. “At a time when we are trying to bring the parties together, these house demolitions send the wrong signal,” said State Department spokesman James Rubin. “We renew our call on both sides to refrain from provocative acts which only make the task of reaching agreement more difficult.”
