The United Jewish Welfare Fund of Oakland, will launch its fourth annual campaign on May 3.
A new plan for the campaign this year has been adopted. Instead of having teams of solicitors built up by the campaign organization itself, the campaign organization itself, the campaign will be conducted through the various local Jewish organizations, each one of which will be a campaign unit.
The closing dinner of the campaign will take place Sunday. May 12 The amount to be raised is $31,630.
Samnel R. Feller has been elected chairman of the Junior Federation, to succeed Aaron W. Berg, it was announced. He will direct the work among the youth for the New York Federation for Jewish Philanthropic Societies.
