The United States formally eased sanctions on Iran, Libya and Sudan on Monday to allow U.S. companies to sell billions of dollars of humanitarian aid, including food and medicine. All other dealings with the countries remain restricted by U.S. laws as a result of their place on the State Department’s list of state sponsors of terrorism.
