The United States softened its criticism of Iran by dropping its designation of Tehran as “the most active” state sponsor of terrorism in its annual report on terrorism. The report, which continues to list Syria, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, Cuba and North Korea along with Iran as sponsors of terrorism, noted that the Palestinian Authority has acted against several terrorists and stopped several attacks against Israel.
