The United States will reportedly invite the Palestinian Authority’s new prime minister to Washington as soon as he takes office. According to the Daily Telegraph, the invitation to Mahmoud Abbas would come as part of the Bush administration’s efforts to jump-start Israeli-Palestinian peace talks after the war in Iraq.
