The University of Lemberg was closed in all its departments yesterday as rioting, the result of the death of a Polish student killed in a drunken brawl early Sunday morning, swept through the University.
Several Jewish and non-Jewish students were arrested as well as two Jewish youths named Markus and Goldmann who attacked a policeman.
Late in the night the anti-Semites fired the Zionist athletic bowl, “Chasmonoi”.
Among those seriously injured in the attacks are a former Jewish deputy, Dr. Inzler and a Christian student Bem.
A Jewish merchant returning home was followed by anti-Semites, attacked as he entered his dwelling and left in a critical condition.
