The University of North Carolina library launched a Web site chronicling the Jewish history of the American South. The site, www.lib.unc.edu/apop, uses portraits, maps, historical documents, ritual objects and voice interviews to recreate the personal experiences of southern Jews, from the first Jewish settlers of the late 1600s to the present day.
