The West German television station ZDF is preparing two half-hour films on tourism in Israel. The films will deal with Jerusalem, Eilat, the Dead Sea, the Negev, life in a kibbutz and archaeological excavations in Jericho. Israeli writer Ephraim Kishon, who is extremely popular in West Germany, even more so than in Israel, will narrate the first film.
