The “Westwind,” a twinengined executive jet manufactured by Israel Aircraft Industries, has been certified by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and the Ministry of Transportation of Canada, it was announced here. The announcement was made jointly by IAI and the Atlantic Aviation Corp., exclusive distributor of the Westwind in North America. The turbofan jet has a cruising spend of 542 mph and a range of 2465 miles. The first of the planes sold here will be delivered this month.
