The will of Mrs. Rebecca Hart, disposing of an estate estimated at $700,000, was filed for probate yesterday before George B. Weiss, assistant to Probate Judge John F. O’Connell. Mrs. Hart, widow of Max Hart, one of the founders of Hart Schaffner and Marx clothing company, died December 29, 1933. She was 70 years old.
Under the terms of the will bequests of $50,000 each are left to Northwestern University, the Jewish charities of Chicago and the Michael Reese Hospital. The bulk of the estate is left in trust to Abraham S. Hart, a son; Mrs. Maxine Hart Spitz, a daughter, and two grand children, James M. Hart and Richard F. Hart.
