The Yisrael Beiteinu Party is on its way to joining Israel’s coalition government. Yisrael Beiteinu leader Avigdor Lieberman and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert agreed on an alliance Monday. Under the deal, which has yet to be ratified by the Cabinet, Lieberman will be made minister of strategic affairs, a new portfolio dealing primarily with the Iranian nuclear threat.
