The Zionist Organization of America is urging the Bush administration to recall an envoy sent to mediate between Israel and the Palestinian Authority because of past comments he made justifying terrorist attacks by Hezbollah. ZOA cited a 1998 article in the Arab newspaper Al-Nahar that quoted David Satterfield as saying that Hezbollah attacks were acts of “resistance” rather than terrorism.
