Theodore Leskes, director of the legal division of the American Jewish Committee, died last night at the Montefiore Hospital of heart disease. He was 55 years old.
As a member of the American Jewish Committee staff, he prepared and filed briefs in cases involving discrimination in employment, church-state questions, housing education and desegregation. He was a member of the New York State and united States Supreme Court bars. He was the author of numerous articles on civil rights in professional journals.
