For the first time in the history of New York City the schools of theology-representing more than six distinct religious beliefs-will meet this evening at 8:15 at an inter-seminary conference to protest against war and war preparations.

From the rostrum of the Unterberg Auditorium in the Jewish Theological Seminary at 122nd street and Broadway. Wendell A. Phillips of the Jewish Institute of Religion, chairman of the meeting, will introduce representative leaders of the religious life of New York. Among the religious groups uniting in this common cause are students from the Union Theological Seminary, the General Theological Seminary, Yeshiva College, the Jewish Institute of Religion, the Jewish Theological Seminary and others.

Included in the list of peace leaders who will address the conference will be Kirby Page, Professor Reinhold Niebuhr, and Rabbi Sidney E. Goldstein. An invitation has been extended also to Bishop Manning to be present.
