The Downtown Athletic Club, 18 West Street, today refused to rent its facilities for the convention of the German-American Technologists Association next Saturday, bringing to three the halls which have barred the association because it insists on displaying the swastika at its convention.
Last Saturday the Hotel Astor, which had agreed to permit the swastika after the Hotel New Yorker had turned the association down, rescinded its action as a result of numerous protests from anti-Nazis.
