Miriam Goldberg, a Jewish refugee who recently arrived in Israel from Germany, was arrested today in Baanana on charges that she participated in cruelties against Jews interned in the Bergen-Belson concentration camp in 1944.
She is the third woman apprehended in Israel on such charges. She is also the eighth person in Israel to be put on trial on war crimes charges. Following her arrest today, she was relessed on bail by magistrate’s court.
