Thirty Jews, accused of being “Zionist spies,” went on trial before a criminal court in Bagdad, Iraq, according to an Arab broad cast monitored here. The report said that “some of those convicted will be sentenced to death according to law.”
It listed among the defendants a rabbi, three women, a man described as a representative of the Manchester Weaving Company and seven Iraqi subjects. The broadcast said they were accused of a “plot to carry out terrorist activities in Iraq.”
