Thousands of Jews participated in a mass meeting which was held in Cleveland on Sunday, March 16th, at the Yeshiva Synagogue, adopting a resolution commending the recent orders given by the Communist Central Committee, and the abolition of the Yevsektzia, the Jewish section of the Communist Party. At the same time, a protest was also made against the dangerous activities of the atheists, and the resolution called upon the Soviet Government to pay more attention to Jewish matters in general. The meeting was called by the Federation of Jewish organizations, and the principal speakers were: Congressman Charles A. Mooney from Cleveland City, Mayor John D. Marschal, Rabbis Jehuda Heschel Levenberg and Israel Poras.
