Thousands of Viennese Visit Herzl’s Grave to Mark Establishment of Jewish State

Thousands of persons yesterday visited the grave in ## Jewish cemetery here of Theodor Herzl, founder of modern Zionism, as part of the ## celebration of Jewish statehood. A newly-formed Zionist youth organization ## the road to the grave, carrying huge portraits of Herzl and blue-and-white flags.

A Zionist meeting yesterday afternoon, presided over by Sigmund Kornfeld, ##zl’s one-time secretary, was attended by American and French authorities and rep##entatives of the government. Speakers included representatives of the World Jewish “Congress, the Jewish Agency and the Joint Distribution Committee.
