A one-day nationwide effort to climax the 1957 drive to sell $75,000,000 worth of Israel bonds has been set for December 8, it was announced here today by Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, vice-president of the Israel Bond Organization. The effort, called BIG Day (Bonds for Israel Government Day), will be featured by the work of thousands of volunteers in Jewish communities throughout the country. In some cities, BIG Day will serve also as a high point in local preparations for Israel Bond Chanukah festivals.
