One hundred thousand Jews in Warsaw and more than half of the 180,000 Jews of Lodz, have been stricken with influenza in a epidemic sweeping through the Jewish districts of this cities. The total number of those attacked by the epidemic in Warsaw is estimated at 200,000, most of them in the densely populated Jewish quarters.
The epidemic, however, is not serious and no deaths have been reported. The hospitals nevertheless are filled to capacity and the disease is unchecked.
