King Feisal of Mesopotamia yesterday arrived at Ammon, the capitol of Transjordania over which rules his brother, the Emir Abdullah.
Sir Gilbert Clayton, Acting High Commissioner for Palestine in the absence in Europe of Sir Herbert Samuel, and Governor Storrs of Jerusalem have already arrived at Ammon for the festivities in connection with the King’s reception. It is also rumored that King Hussein of the Hedjaz, father of both the Emir Abdullah and King Feisul, may also come. This will be the first time that the three members of Hussein’s family will come together as officially recognized rulers, as the government of Emir Abdullah was only recently recognized by Great Britain.
Additional interest is attached to the visit in view of the fact that the three rulers have not been on the best of terms lately and reports are current that the only thing that prevents an outbreak is the fear shared by the three rulers of the Wohabees, the ferocious Bedouin tribe, menacing the safety of the three countries.
