Two New York Yiddish writers, S. Izban and S. Tannenbaum, and the Argentine Jewish post K. Kliger were awarded here the “Zvi Kesel prize” for the best works in Yiddish literature in 1950. Each will receive $200. Mr. Izban was awarded the prize for his novel, “The Family Karp.” Mr. Tannenbaum was given the award for his volume, “In the Image of God,” and Mr. Kliger was honored for his book of poems.
