Three cancer researchers were awarded a prestigious Israeli prize in medicine. Alexander Levitzki of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Anthony Hunter of the Salk Institute in California and Anthony Pawson of Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto will share the $100,000 Wolf Prize in Medicine. Levitzki has created drugs that block the development of some cancers, while Hunter and Pawson have explored how malignancies can occur.
