Three Christian ministers were among the four graduates of the Dropsie Collage for Hebrew and Cognate Learning who today received their degrees from the Collage. The three received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy for completion of their graduate studies in Semitics.
Honorary degrees were awarded by the Collage to Dr. Mordecai M. Naplan of New York, professor of the Jewish Theological Seminary, and Dr. Nelson Glueck of Cincinnati, president of the Hebrew Union Collage-Jewish Institute of Religion. The degree, Doctor of Literature, was conferred upon the two Jewish scholars by Dr. Abraham A. Neumane, president of Dropsie.
